Watermark

About watermark on carpet, Michael Hilton quote in his book  'Carpet Buyers Handbook': ...watermarking provides the appearance of a wet surface in darker shaded area...This is considered a normal occurence for Plushes and is not considered a manufacturing defect..

In first part i'm not agree, because in light area it worst. In another part the words looks familiar when read the "wools of new zealand" brochures.

Anyway we need clearly reason about this. Customer don't want watermark, they want clear and good piles in that carpet. For example, natural effect of bark in wood is beautiful because that textures covered all over the tree, but watermark in carpet is not part of the design.

How to reduce the watermark appearance. The density, the pile height, the patterns, or the specific colors. Maybe type of fibers or blend of fibers can reduce the watermark. What type of fiber the less of watermark and what type of fiber is most?
