
In 2000 AD justice department of the United States of America invited designers to enter
to a contest of designing a symbolic and historical rug for the United States Attorney
general Conference center. Soroush Custom Rugs and Axminster Carpet was the
winner of this contest. Cyrus the great human rights chart was suggested in the artwork
among other International Justice symbols.
This design presented to U.S. Department of Justice’s design committee along with an
index of each symbols and their history.
Soroush’s design was approved by all 5 members of U.S. Department of Justice’s design
committee, and was awarded to Soroush to manufacture this historical rug.
The production of this18’ x 36’ feet rug was completed in 14 months by 33 weavers (all
Tibetan refugees living in Nepal).
Now this masterpiece is displayed in the conference center of U.S. Department of
Justice, proudly showing The first declarations of Human Right written 536 B.C
by “Cyrus the great” Founder of Persia.
